The Path

The Forest

The Goddess

THE PATH

I walk along a path

No end is in sight

It winds around a great forest

Large yet small, loud yet quiet

At times it is lit by the sun

At times it is shrouded in darkness

I near a fork

And must choose my way

To make the wisest decision

Or to become lost

I choose carefully

And walk on, head held high

For the goddess I know

Will surely show me the way

****************************************************

THE FOREST

The trees breathe

Their leaves shivering with each breath

The grass whispers

As the blades continue their ongoing dance

The wind sings

A soft melody in my ear

The goddess looks

Down from her throne on the moon

The forest lies

As surely as do I

May I never forget

Before my journey to the Summerlands

And beyond

*******************************************************************

THE GODDESS

The Sun shines;

The Goddess sleeps.

Dusk sets in

As the Goddess kisses her lover goodnight.

The moon shines bright;

The Goddess wakes.

The moon shines on;

The Goddess walks.

The Sun God awakens

And rises to his throne

As the moon Goddess lapses into slumber

Yet watching as before.
